I looked at that board. hope you like it. got myself a 7'10. great price on your board.
Very nice. I can imagine this model being fun in that length too. So far, so good. I took it out in some smaller but punchy surf the weekend I bought it and was surprised by how nimble/quick it was, given the outline. I am going to try to pick up a volan Skip Frye fin for it and can't wait to get it out in some clean barreling conditions.
Picked up my custom this morning, less than a month wait. It is 7 foot wpf pintail 21"w 2.75 thickness, set up as 2+1, any fin suggestions?
I tried this for the first time in my life recently and i've never regretted a decision in surfing more. sh!t's more slick than a tijuana stripper pole.
The thing that really made my midlength work well was going to a 6.5" bonzer for the center fin and future grom fins as sidebites. They are a little larger with a little more cant and when I put in this combo, it smoothed out some catchiness in the turns I was having with a bigger single and standard sidebites.

They don't mention the fin setup but the side boxes are right next to the single box like that other rusty that claims to be able to be ridden as a twin or a single. They aren't set further forward of the font fin like a standard 2 +1 .

I was a mid length proponent when my back injury forced me onto one. But now that my back is better and I'm back on my shortboard, I've got to say- mid lengths suck and are for kooks.
