Greater minds here can clarify the reason for the 4+1 setup and why one may want that in the board.

but, yes. I had something like 7’2 and an 8’0 eggs in the 00’s, both thrusters, both great all around. The 7’2 was a real gem until a buddy broke it.

I went 4+1 on a custom 7'1" from local shaper with a plane shape kinda similar CI Mid. I haven't tried the quad set up yet and although I did consider some more foiled thruster models like the Mid Strength and Holi Moli, very happy I went with 2+1. Similar to a thruster, but the glide from single makes this board/design special. Pivot off the bottom and in top turns is quite nice as well. Been a great addition and fun to mix things up and draw different lines in the same ole waves I've been surfing for many years now.

What are the rails like on that R.?
I wont be a good gauge of that having only held it for a minute, but initial impression is that they are moderate. I certainly wouldn't call them thin overall.

The Egg Not is up on Rusty Surfboards.com now.

Just ordered a 7.0', E-Poly, 6+4/6, with a two color resin tint. Yeeeeeeewwwwwwww!

SHAPER'S NOTES
BOARD SIZES AND SPECIFICATIONS

Simply put, the Egg Not is a squash tail, narrower nose, version of our eGG. With the increasing popularity of mid size boards, we decided it was more or less a given that we offer a squash tail version of our eGG. Outline; Moderate width in the center. The nose in just over 15 inches. The tail is just under 15. The tail block, one inch up’ is approximately 7”. The Squash tail adds a little more area, lengthens the rail line, and has a more pivoty feel compared to a roundtail.

Rocker on the front end is pretty relaxed. Helps with paddle speed, wave catching, and overall glide. Back in the business zone, the curve is a bit above average, yet subtle. Clean, smooth, no breaks, but plenty. It helps to tighten the arc of your turns without giving up speed. Bottom; entry is almost flat. A little release out towards the rails. In the mid section, on the shorter boards there is a light single that blends into a subtle double vee that peaks about 2 feet up. Backs off to a very light break between and aft the fins. On bigger boards, app 21.75 and wider, the bottom becomes slightly more convex. Thickness; A little on the thin side for a board this size. Leaner rails. Easier to put in the water. Holds better in bigger surf.

Fins: It’s your call. For a higher performance feel I’d recommend 4. For a cruisier, more traditional feel, 2 plus one or single. It’s a great board to have in your quiver. When the surf is average, you’ll have plenty of wave catching ability and it will carry through sections but still be loose enough to turn with ease. When the surf gets a bit bigger, it still works...surprisingly well! More waves equals more fun!

Suprising they didn't supply width and thickness dimensions (never mind litreage). I like it though.
They are at the bottom of the page. The board builder actually confirms the 7.0 is 44 L and change, so it would appear they rounded all the volume specs up. Rusty seems to be pretty adamant about not quibbling over a liter or two.

Stubb vectors, at least the one I had were, well stubbier. This is kind of a stretch out stub which is like a tall midget.

Personally not a fan of an "egg" that looks like a an overgrown shortboard but everyone's got their own interpretation. It does look very Rusty like.
Interesting, and you did get quite a few likes, so I’m curious… it can’t just be about the way it looks.?.

Heres an earlier version before they refined the nose...
