This fin was designed by a wold famous surfer around 1984 and is still used by his world famous shaper today.

Its design was based on the " Football" fins windsurfers were experimenting with then .

Cutting into the back of the mid section creating a slight "Football" shaped tip .

I'm sure their notoriety influenced many others to use this shape - cuz dats how it works in surfboard world ;-)

Didn't read the specs...that is quite small. Could work as quad front i guess, but...

this middleweight rejoiced prematurely. Futures still appears to be having trouble making true medium fins.

DHD mediums dims are disappointing. Hopefully, they will release Jordy mediums that are on the bigger end of the medium spectrum

I'm also curious about the dimensions of the Mayhem fins. Template looks similar the JJF

The R6 Proto's look like a good size for a raked medium fin. I have the R8 proto's and they are real nice although I can't decide if I like them as much as the DHD's. Further testing needed.

I don't know why futures didn't do something closer to the FCS medium dimensions (4.41 x 4.57 with 15.49 area)

Griff—Does this fin have the type of area reduction thru the tip that you’re talking about?
