I'm not into the suspenders look and was it so hard for XTR to source another blue Futures box and use some color on the repair?
My brother had the pleasure of ripping the fin box out of this one. I watched him do a hard bottom turn and then spin out.

I think this board has been listed for a higher price on every resale. He did really like this one.

So it blew the box after being repaired for blowing a box? Wild.

@oeste858 you have a BB right? Do you think a 6'6 would suit me at 6'1 190lb for the "big" days we get in socal? My 6'1 ghost was not the best call on the last big swell.
Yessir.
I had picked up a used 6’6 in 2020 thinking I’d use it more than 6’8 (which it rarely gets big enough for me to break out). But then I went down the road of a hipster gentlemans stap (6’7 Townsend then Twinsman) and it just suited my winter spots better and easier transition from what I usually ride. Only ended up riding the 6’6 BB a couple times before I sold it. but liked it and it did what I wanted: paddled great, catches waves great, slightly tighter turns than the 6’8 BB, stable and comforting in bigger / steeper stuff. I’d say it would be perfect for what you want in OH-DOH SD winter.
