tennis elbow??

after about 2 hours of surfing, my left elbow hurts like hell. i can barely do a push up since it hurts. happens every session almost, is this tennis elbow?

I get the same thing from time to time. I've figured out that as I get tired, I rotate my lower arm slightly as I paddle. It seems to strain the tendon in my elbow, just like tennis elbow.

Only thing I've figured out is to be very careful about the paddling motion, and use a little ice as needed.

No, its surfer's elbow. Tennis elbow is tendinitis over the bony prominence of the elbow from repeated overuse of the extensor muscles of the forearm and wrist.

Yours might be from your paddling or the way you are holding your board.

Limit your sessions to an hour and half!
