Enrollment is plummeting in both K-12 and junior college:
It's not coming from the state. The state is enacting legislation pushed by the powerful teacher's unions. The Woke stuff in our local school district was organic. You have your head far in the sand. The CC numbers will go up in the fall.
The numbers at cal state for the fall are up.
Most teachers I know are not down with teaching gender stuff in K-12.
A lot of that was coming from the state.
That said, my union went full social justice.
Which is weird.

California community college fall enrollment plunges
Enrollment at California Community Colleges fell even more last fall than an already shocking national average. Campus leaders hope to stem further declines as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.www.insidehighered.com
Since the charter schools were willing to still teach, many parents enrolled their kids in them. This is the teachers' union's response:
My public school teachers were generally smart, good people, but times have clearly changed. The new crop is malicious, mendacious, stupid and lazy. Hopefully more parents pull their kids out before their little minds are destroyed by teacher's union-sponsored curricula. Private school for us from here on out. You kind of contradicted yourself. It's not coming from the state. The state is enacting legislation
Not at all. Powerful stakeholders - often public sector unions - determine what legislation is passed because they sponsor politicians to get into office. You are gaslighting. Stop. You kind of contradicted yourself.
yup. it’s mind boggling. yet the quality is still complete shat. we should have a tax credit so i can take my money elsewhere like private schools where the quality is much higher. k-12 is the biggest fleecing of americaTheir salary is about doubled by their benefits. Their total compensation is very high for their quality.
