We're past the point of reasonable discussion with the other side. It's time to let them fend for themselves. It's already happening in these big blue cities.
you sound rational

In any of Gdaddys scenarios is the cop ever the asshole? Or does the uniform make them right no matter what

Teachers are grooming children in Oz:
Off the back of our conversation, my home city is exactly where Australia is on the sexual ethic – you are not our future, we’re living it together. End of last week my 9 year old came home from school crying, because they sat and watched a video with women kissing and had to write on their personal whiteboard what they thought of it. She’s nine!
If it swims like a groomer, quacks like a groomer and has feathers like a groomer, I’d call it a groomer, yeah?

Imagine any other context in which an adult in charge of a cohort of nine year olds can show them a sexualised lesbian relationship and then ask them “How do you feel about that?”

Imagine any other context that doesn’t involve at least a whiff of grooming. The fact that it is a state-sponsored duck, er, groomer, does not make it less a groomer for that. The state is grooming your children. That’s a plain and simple fact. It isn’t going to happen. It’s been happening. Get off your iPad, switch off the tele, pack away the TV dinner, put away your work distractions and get with the program.

And if a child in the class writes “good” after being asked their opinion – as a nine year old child may indeed do -, then I guess the language around consent just got pretty rubbery.

The irony! Here we are currently wringing our hands over the issue of consent at the front door of the Sexular Age, lamenting the fact that young men don’t take no for an answer with young women, and we’re letting paedophilia in the back door.
Actually, this is happening here too:

Sexualizing children seems normal, healthy, and well-adjusted. Not just anyone can do this but only people from the top of the labor pool with years of specialized training and creeps who spraypaint "Candy" on windowless vans. .

Teachers will find a way around this.

I get told to do stupid sh!t all the time and I do a work around. I just use my judgement to do what is right for the kids.

Teachers can do this because it's too much work to monitor.

The funny thing is that the trans lesbian stuff doesn't faze the kids at all.

I've had some classes with some really messed up kids (I had a trans kid, an assburger kid, a turrets kid, a gay kid, a bunch of muslim kids, all needing special attention) and the other kids are so unaffected by it.

My favorite Australian teacher story was about a high school teach who would tutor the kids after school in the break room and they had a key of beer for the teachers.

It made tutoring less stressful and the kids got to interact with the teachers in an informal setting.

I have a couple of students, middle school girls, that sign into zoom with "he/they" after their names. And they are a couple of my highest achieving students. I think they are just fukkin around.

I think a lot of folks here at the erBB could learn some tolerance and nonchalance about gender issues from the kids.

The kids are alright.

Maybe, but how will parents know which teachers have decided not to teach this? In my experience, public schools are very tight-lipped about what they're teaching kids. You'd have to have an awkward interview with the teachers before the start of the school year or try to pry it out of your kids every day. It's much better to put your kids in a trustworthy system in the first place. Teachers who groom will also molest.

Sounds like, in your judgment, there would be no reason to find a away around teaching this then.

Edit: here's another one to file under "Teachers are delightful":
In an email exchange, Auble revealed public-sector unions like the IEA and IFT retain an outsize influence in Illinois politics:

The Illinois legislature often seeks to advocate for teachers unions — even though many public school teachers and administrators don’t share the unions’s views. While unions oppose parental choice and seem to feel threatened by the existence of private schools, that’s not true of their members. I’ve heard public school teachers advocate for school reopening, pointing to schools like ours as proof that it can be done.
The CTA loves the queer:

Notice how queers always want access to children?

The cops I know are about done, so it'll be fascinating to watch antagonistic trash like this lady attempt to negotiate the new jungles with no cops to keep her safe.
It's not police job to keep people safe, it's to protect property. This has always been the case and is the case now. Federal courts have decided this.

To repeat: It has never been and is not now any police force's job (police have NO DUTY) to protect people, only property.

In 2 unrelated events yesterday:

- One cop was killed and another injured when serving a warrant in San Luis Obispo
- A report by the Louisville PD stated that the cops shouldn't have shot back after Breonna Taylor's BF shot one of them first.

Who the F would want to be a cop today?

it really is the biggest fleecing of america. private schools are so much better in every way yet the teachers are paid less. go figure. k-12 is like trying to get an education from someone at the DMV. good luck!
So, give each family a $10,000 - 35,000/year stipend per kid so the kids can all go to private school?

I thought you hated socialism.
