You can never underestimate the psychological impact of a blunt object being heaved at you.

I mean, the dog in Point Break was one thing but how much less rioting would there have been if a fellow officer had just thrown a random large object at George Floyd. I don't think a plastic cooler would do it, perhaps one of those metal ones, a random wheelbarrow from a construction site?
