Schedule

not sure if posted yet.

I'll be watching at least the 1st several heats, just for kicks.

I mean, how often does the Olympics include surfing as a new sport?

Also, it's my birthday, so... Replays it is I guess, cause there will be festivities, so I'll have to watch later.

Go Olympic Surfing! :roflmao:

NPR had some prof from BYU talking about how Carissa and John John should be competing under the HI flag. Does Carissa's mom have Hawaiian blood?

How is going to be broadcasted? Our local Spectrum provider doesn't show it in the lineup. Is there a website that will show it live?

Sounds like NPR. Someone should inform said professor that Hawaii became our 50th state in 1959.

Carissa's younger sister Cayla is a KS graduate surfed on the team that won the 2014 US high school title with Imaikalani DeVault

Glad that Carissa won. Glad that a kid who grew up in Huntington, but surfed for Japan b/c he couldn't make the US team didn't.

But in reality, who cares that some judges gave a guy more made up points for an air vs. another guy?
