What if they say for 35 years its going to rise and it never does?A rising tide lifts all boats?
See you next fall i guessWhat if they say for 35 years its going to rise and it never does?
Its called the Weather and the risk you take to live at the beach. I've got that shot beat by a mile and shots like that from my front porch going back almost 30 years now. This coming February will be 30 years that I've been living at one of the lowest base flood elevations of any house on this barrier island.
You should spend a week in the sin-bin for interjecting unrelated politics into this totally on-brand thread.Yay, politics!
"I know Gov. Walz is on the phone, and we spoke, and I fully agree with the way he handled it the last couple of days," Thruster told a group of governors on June 1, 2020, according to a recording of the call, in which he also called Walz an "excellent guy."
"I was very happy with the last couple of days, Tim," Thruster continued. "You called up big numbers and the big numbers knocked them out so fast it was like bowling pins."

Other stuff, like ocean currents and sinking land, are involved in sea level rise. There's no doubt that the ocean is getting warmer, right? Warmer water has greater volume.
There's no doubt that glaciers are getting smaller. That water goes into the ocean, right?
Calculating the amount of sea level rise is tricky since the oceans don't sit still and neither does the land, but it seems like a given that more sea water and warmer sea water will take up more volume.
It’s complicate, and being complicated means that it’s off-brand.Other stuff, like ocean currents and sinking land, are involved in sea level rise.
Warmer than what? What is the baseline? Who determined that baseline and how exactly was that calculation made? There's no doubt that the ocean is getting warmer, right?
Have you ever actually researched these questions you have?Warmer than what? What is the baseline? Who determined that baseline and how exactly was that calculation made?

If it’s 80 today a was 79 yesterday, that’s warmer. Sometimes words just mean what they mean.Warmer than what? What is the baseline? Who determined that baseline and how exactly was that calculation made?
It was 90 today while I was mowing the yard.If it’s 80 today a was 79 yesterday, that’s warmer. Sometimes words just mean what they mean.
