Its called the Weather and the risk you take to live at the beach. I've got that shot beat by a mile and shots like that from my front porch going back almost 30 years now. This coming February will be 30 years that I've been living at one of the lowest base flood elevations of any house on this barrier island.

Calculating the amount of sea level rise is tricky since the oceans don't sit still and neither does the land, but it seems like a given that more sea water and warmer sea water will take up more volume.

Other stuff, like ocean currents and sinking land, are involved in sea level rise.
Warmer than what? What is the baseline? Who determined that baseline and how exactly was that calculation made?
Have you ever actually researched these questions you have?
