I considered the Buzzsaw when I recently ordered my 2 x 4 but frankly rejected it because of the planshape...it just wasnt talking to me...BUT....I have to say I now know I made a big mistake. I should have listened to Stretch...this V2 version with the sexy swallow tail is exactly what I wanted. Damn !! Got to find a way to get one ordered now....got to sell one of my beloved dogs..here is the link. Looks like the perfect blend between the Superbuzz and the F4. Nice !!

I was going to order a Buzz Saw, but opted for the Thing at the last minute. I'm bummed I didn't get the Buzz Saw. My Thing came out sick, just how I ordered, but it has not performed how I'd hoped. I guess you learn the hard way sometimes. It's just that this was an expensive learning lesson. I'm torn between selling it or just holding onto it so someday my son can ride it if he so chooses to surf.

Dave and crew are awesome to work with...I think I just suck at describing what I want

same ¨thing¨ happened to me. it is such a good board, just not for my crappy wave. If i lived at a world class, steeper wave, that´d be another story. I feel like it`s an advanced board to do radical poop on, and i dont do any of that, so i needed maybe something more simple to progress on. i did better with my magnet.

I did the same "thing", and I'm glad I did. Having the superbuzz it fits in that chest to overhead range, and when it's good the board goes off. I've done my best surfing on the thing, but if its a little weaker I tend to struggle on it. It's a good wave small board. The first few time was in less then stellar conditions and I almost gave up on it, then the one chest to overhead good day came and it felt so right.

I didn't pony up the xtra cash for the eps...it's already the most $$ I've ever paid for a surfboard, so in the interest of keeping me married to this particular wife, (second custom this month )...just going for the normal epoxy. Any good reason to upgrade?

I'm getting a board with dims to match my "robustness" (I am 6' x 215. Board: 6'5" x 20.75 x 2.75). Five fin set up.

Curious to hear if anyone has ordered the normal epoxy on these boards. Are the EPS lighter? stronger? I have a 6'9" FFF Step Up in EPS and it is super light!

I've only surfed mine 4 times. Only one day was in decent waves, so I guess I shouldn't judge the board. I caught 2 waves that were steep and fast...the board lit up. So, I guess you're right. It seems like a good wave board cuz it went off on those 2 good waves but for what I need and hoped it would be for, it's not the right model. I sized it very similar to the boards I'm riding now, but it doesn't have the same bottom end that I had hoped for. I guess I'll just have to order another one from Stretch and crew

What I did was order a 2 x 4 and bulked it out by giving it a 4 inch pug nose and wider thicker dims. 6 x 20 x 2.5. I dont have it yet so I dont know if it will work the way intended or not but as soon as I saw the Buzzsaw V2 I thought that it looked like the logical step above the Superbuzz I bought 6 months ago. Hopefully I am not too far off the mark with the 2 x 4. Ordered mine in stringerless carbon railed EPS epoxy. ...

Sounds like your on the right track Valiant...I'm thinking BuzzSaw will be my next order, but I need to come up with some coin. It'd be nice if there were somewhere locally that I could go check out the boards in person. It's hard to tell what a board is like over the internet

Does stretch have a bunch of ass pinups in his shaping bay? Love it

Board looks sick, especially the tail. Stretch quad is on my list of things to try.

Pretty funny - I posted a question about the "thing" a few days ago with few relies. Now on a buzz saw post there are 3 "thing" reviews

Buzz saw looks pretty rad, but so does a "thing" for good surf. So what is the low end size and shape of the "thing"?

you can mix it up a bit, i was gonna do that on one of my boards, and at the end i decided to go with eps tech, but no deck channels...

My impression is, the thing goes good on small waves as long as theres a lil face to work with. It doesnt like mush/flats. The nose rocker isnt that extreme, OR since the board is so short, the rocker doesnt limit u as much. And the nose on mine is pretty full, and so are the rails, so that helps on small days. Say if the board was a 6'1, i feel the rocker would get in the way.

I'd use the thing for good fun surf if I had one. The ones I saw recently were sized more like modern sb's longer and less width. Looked good.

EPS Tech is worth the $$$ if you want a almost bullet proof stay white board I have a older f4 I got off cl w/ eps tech and its still pretty white w/ very minor dings where the previous owner had some pretty hard hits that would have been open wounds on a poly board If you go custom save your pennies and go all out
