A cold front was forecast to hit Oahu on Saturday, and the incoming swell had a short period of 12 seconds. However, the front stalled and the swell was much stronger than expected. It was a fun morning.


Wicked one at Backdoor. Wasn't going to shoot from that side. Nope.


Davey-boy Gonsalves has been out there for years, and some of his steep takeoffs showed his experience.

Just shot it just before I went in. When I got home I was shocked at how big the wave looked in the sequence. The kid was stocked with the shot.
