So nobody wants to talk about the Saudi who shot up the military base in Pensacola?

And therein lies the problem of black and white reasoning of being a "fundamentalist"; it's simplistic and ignores the reality of outcomes it provides. It inhibits the closures of loopholes like what lead to this event. And this isn't the sole example of this.

Unless you consider these events to be worth it to retain that fundamentalist mentality.
Without being fundamentalist on certain things, like rights, you open up the door for the people in power to take away all of those rights that they granted us in the first place. Little by little, they get legislated away

I'm happy this loophole existed, because it was closer to the right as the way it was intended. And these events are worth it to retain freedom for the vast majority of us.

Unless you consider these events to be worth it to separate classes of people into citizens and non-citizens where citizens have rights and non-citizens don't.

I don’t think the fundamentalist ideology is a very good one long term as long as these events continue with frequency (they will), nor is it realistic in how the country has been actually progressing.

I won’t even entertain the insinuation that I was advocating for a class based system of citizens vs non because it’s not even close to what I am discussing.

You didn't think you were close, but if you think that foreigners should not hold some of the rights citizens do you're going down that path.

The only way we can keep our other rights safe is to stop this chipping away at our rights via legislation under the guise of safety. I'd rather see the 2A go away than see it weakened any further. We have already lost the 4th and there are enough people in this country who would love to see the most important, the 1st, weakened as well

Maybe it is just bruised pride...his nickname was 'Pornstache', and the killer wasn't so fond of that appellation.

Or so a NY Post story goes.

(sorry for citing The Post as a news source)

I 100% believe anyone in this country should enjoy the majority of our constitutional rights unhindered. The exception is 2a, which in many states already exists.

to rather the 2a get repealed than addressing the actual issues with it is a little too feelz based for me and more anti 2a than most who are pushing to address those issues.

no this is not a slippery slope.

The notion that having ANY gun regulations is erosion of 2A is what's at the core of this idiotism.

And slippery slope arguments are the pinnacle of stupid.

Not being able to have a rocket launcher is not an erosion of 2A

You're willing to give up rights because of feelz

This is absolutely a slippery slope, just like any erosion of rights is
