So it’s official. ‘Public health officials’ need to be ignored....

It's kind of looking like they are reporting a surge in cases now.

Incubation period is something like 2 to 14 days, so give this another 12 days or so...

For Sweden? Nope. There's a counting error or a math error in those plots @Mike_Jones posted. The number at the end should be 69.3, not 132. Add June 4th, 3rd and 2nd cases from Sweden's data. Divide by 3 to compute the 3 day moving average. Then divide by 10.23 (millions in Sweden).

More fake news.

There's supposedly a surge in cases in something like 18 states now. That's here, not Sweden. It's all over the media.

Well we're on the Swedish model now because of the riots.

The number is going to surge because it basically has to surge. We're reducing the rate of quarantine

You're probably right, judging from the daily cases data. It doesn't jump so drastically. That chart has to be wrong. I'll leave the info with a disclaimer instead of removing it. Here's Sweden's and the USA's World-o-Meter info on daily cases It's not cases per million. So don't compare numbers, just trends.

Can't post actual charts without a cut and paste hassle, but scroll down to Hospital Census charts for trends in active CV-19 occupancy and compared to total county hospital capacities.

https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/dam/sdc/hhsa/programs/phs/Epidemiology/covid19/MediaBriefingSlides/mediaBriefingSlides.pdf

Even with a few hospitals in extreme south county SD under stresses the last few weeks (recent TJ and Mexicali crossers), overall SD county has been pretty tame compared to what was predicted a month or 2 ago.

We do now see a uptick in positive cases and a huge uptick in daily testing. Seems maybe a lot of the protesters have spooked themselves into getting tested the last couple days. Doh!

It was worth it to get that Instatwit signal to all their white friends though, no doubt.

I think it’s way past time to have a full and complete opening of businesses nationwide allowing them operate just as they did pre-house arrest.

If each individual establishment want to enact their own protocols (masks, limited numbers, etc.) then that is their choice.

It amazes me, and I thought I’ve seen everything, that the same people who less than 3 weeks ago threatened to arrest people (and in some cases did) for opening their businesses to feed their families spent last weekend looking the other way or outright supporting the looting and destruction of the very same businesses they forced to close.

It’s sickening really.

And they are still restricting businesses. Gyms are still in forced closure in CA. Open a gym today and you will get arrested. Loot a gym and burn it to the ground right in front of police and nothing will happen to you.

madness.
It really is insanity.

article claims 40% increase in cases in CA in last week . . . .
Likely because there has been a massive increase in testing.

The biggest explosion in the state is Imperial County, thanks to Mexico.

Tons of Mexican virus patients in SD hospitals at this time to the point most facilities cannot accommodate more.
