I don't think I've ever ridden a gloss finish board, does it add weight?
You most likely rode one when you were a bit younger, getting pushed into a nice wave by your dad or uncle in Waikiki or wherever you grew up.

Back in the day all surfboards were shinny in the shops, though some backyard guys would skip the high gloss polish I think.

When they first started selling the sanded finish boards, I seen it, and shook my head, I forgot what year they started that gimmick?

...I am goingoutside now...bra, how's Town?....get waves?

Ah yes, the old 80's T&C/HI boards. I did ride a few of those.

Yes Town has had waves the whole pandemic.

Otis just told me $130 extra. Nah brah!

Racer, did you ask specifically for sanded gloss? or regular gloss?

Mellow single to a pretty deep double. Tail is similar to that Minami.

I changed my 6'0 thruster order from this shaper to a similar shape as my original post 5'5, but round tail and quad only.
S-cloth all layers and airbrush. Standard fine sand. Will post when it's done.

Hot coat resin has a surfacing agent - wax- added sealing it from air to allow hardening for sanding

It never fully cures both the lam and hot coat resin

Sand that thick hot coat thats done for fine sanding flatter and thinner then do a thin gloss = same weight

The gloss resin completely seals it from air and cures both to full strength - google dat thing ! ;-)
