I am making a circle the pacific trip this summer with friends, and one of our stops is New Zealand. We'll be spending a few months there to snowboard, and want to have our gear shipped over there. I have read about companies who ship surfboards to New Zealnd for reasonable fees, but can't find any info right now on that sorf of stuff. Anybody here have experience shipping gear as opposed to carrying it and checking through the airline???
Thanks

I don't know if your snowboarding, surfing or both?? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

But if your wanting to bring snowboards on the plane, it's normally free. Surfboards can range between $50 and $75 each way per bag.

I would call the airline's you are flying, get the price and call UPS shipping and ask them for general costs. I shipped a board to a friend (one board, in the US cont.) and it cost me $45! Multiple boards and carrying bags in a box would cost more I think. And you have to buy a board box also.

Good luck
