Anyone try or feel up a File Fifty? It's Kanoa's new model which came out in October. Interestingly, my buddy saw him at Coxos week before last and he had five JS' with him.

Good description of what I was trying to describe in another thread. I hated the idea of riding one bc it would mean I’m old but discovered in certain conditions (big and slopey for me) you can rip harder on a mid than any HP board.Update to my comments below.
. It paddled into this wave with significant ease compared to my 6'2 i72 but gave me the ability to generate linear speed into the slopey section but my technique from a shortboard did not have to be significantly changed. Allowed for the best carves and fin break turn/slash that I could do on these waves on any board. It was wonderful.
Not to derail things too much but yeah, I've thought about that.Anyone ever trip out on Marco's success mid-late career? I remember getting them in college in the 00's from Bunker surf shop in PB and thinking they were rad but almost too loose.
What if it was Boysen, Plus One, Ezera, or the dozen or so other local San Diego shapers that had their die hard fans but never rose out of the local shaper realm.?
