I was planing without PPE an poisoning my family in 1992. Only a few know the feeling.I made it to 1:50 then decided I had enough of that shaping stupidity. Planing with no headphones and no mask, then brings in his family to inhale the dust.

Think of all the wasted sessions a lot of them went through when they could have been riding someone else's boards that actually worked.I have discerning taste when it comes to surfing, have no skills, and respect the crap out of quality shapers. leave it to the experts.
You're old fashioned.Call me old fashioned but parents these days are too protective.
I get the animosity towards backyarders posting vids etc on social media & particularly towards IG insta shapers, n kooks not using proper safety equipment.
That being said - fck that attitude. Someone wants to make a board - make a board.
& There‘s plenty of pros putting out inferior boards compared to a good backyarder. I’ve felt up WAY too manyproCAD machine made boards and seenproCI machine shaped blanks in glass shop that are fit for the recycling bin.
