Even when you're wrong you're right, as long as you label yourself a scientist.
You aren't wrong for disagreeing with anything in science just because you yourself are not a scientist. Scientists out there spending decades and billions looking for "super symmetry" but science is some holy unquestionable quest for truth....sometimes scientists are obviously off in the woods with motivated group reasoning. You don't need a 40k/year job as a glorified line cook to have an opinion on the direction of research.
