I recently picked up a non RT sd, haven’t ridden it yet but got a custom What RT and the thing is sick. So much speed out the gate for a hpsb. Love that thing.

Yours is thruster, right? Any reason you wish you’d gotten it five-fin so you could run it as a quad?

No. Works great as is. It has a surprising amount of built in speed considering the outline

believe it or not, it is. It paddles into waves disproportionately better than it should.

Yours is a 6’4?

At 5’10 and 185 lbs I think I’d be looking at a 6’2.

Yep. I love the longer rail line for this one.

Had a chance to pop by the Rusty factory and check out a 6’2. Feels like a sensible roundtail tuned for California better waves.

Think I’d ask for one with 5 fin boxes to have the quad option.

I had a 6-4 torsion spring Shiv which was, if memory serves, was basically a round tail SD with the flat deck foil Rusty was into for a while. The rocker felt perfect and the round tail was just right, not too wide or narrow. I regret selling it. I think it was a little oversized for me at the time but would be perfect for me now.

Kind of weird, but I've been looking at an IF 15 Gold.

When building this board and the SD RTE side by side, when I plug in similar dimensions, they come out with identical volumes, within .01L each time. Similar outline and foil?

Wonder what the rocker differences are?

Yes and personally shaping in SD still. I sent an inquiry through the website once and Rusty responded and sent a file he made based on my email. I obviously ordered.
