Rusty SD (original version) anyone?

Has anyone here tried and tested the Rusty SD (non-RT-RE version)? Rusty claims this to be one of their most popular models, but I haven‘t seen any reviews (apart from marketing vids) and ride reports?

I had one years back. It didn’t particularly stand out, but I remember it being a reliable stubby thruster. Mainly I moved on from it bc I was gravitating more towards surfing quads, mine was setup as a 3-fin only.

I have one in eps that I like a lot. It paddles well and has a bit more speed out the gate. I got it second hand for a great price so my opinion might be skewed, but in general I am a big fan of Rusty shortboards

Thanks for all the responses. I just placed the order.
I stopped by the Rusty factory today and fondled some SDs. It looks and feels like a solid DD for around here. How did you size yours? They had a SD round tail that was speaking to me!

I am 5‘7, 163lbs and I ended up ordering a 5‘10 with width/thickness in between the pro and extra dimensions coming out at 30.2Liters which is what I usually ride.

I will let you know how it goes.

I'm roughly same dims as @nayooti , but had mine in xtr, 5'7" x 19.15 x 2.37 and loved it (27ish liters)

Our favorite youtuber zeke really seems to like his dark arts version.

SD looks like a good every day surfboard and without any other explanation other than aesthetics, the roundtail looks better.

If I just had a swider, shorter one, say 5'6" x 19.5 x 2.5, then a normal squash at 5'9" x 19, and my current round tail 6' x 19, I'd be set with a socal thruster for most conditions.

I think that outline + rocker is soooo good. I'm still Flare-curious for the low end tho.

Well I'm a bit partial to a Flare, with nice rails so....
