I stopped by the Rusty factory today and fondled some SDs. It looks and feels like a solid DD for around here. How did you size yours? They had a SD round tail that was speaking to me!Thanks for all the responses. I just placed the order.
I am 5‘7, 163lbs and I ended up ordering a 5‘10 with width/thickness in between the pro and extra dimensions coming out at 30.2Liters which is what I usually ride.I stopped by the Rusty factory today and fondled some SDs. I will let you know how it goes.
If I just had a swider, shorter one, say 5'6" x 19.5 x 2.5, then a normal squash at 5'9" x 19, and my current round tail 6' x 19, I'd be set with a socal thruster for most conditions. Our favorite youtuber zeke really seems to like his dark arts version.
SD looks like a good every day surfboard and without any other explanation other than aesthetics, the roundtail looks better.
Well I'm a bit partial to a Flare, with nice rails so....If I just had a swider, shorter one, say 5'6" x 19.5 x 2.5, then a normal squash at 5'9" x 19, and my current round tail 6' x 19, I'd be set with a socal thruster for most conditions.
I think that outline + rocker is soooo good. I'm still Flare-curious for the low end tho.
This would be an excellent poor mans San Diego quiverI'll bet you could go even more minimalist, with a Flare squash and an SD round, and be covered for most of our conditions.
yep. maybe throw a keel or quad fish in thereThis would be an excellent poor mans San Diego quiver
And a glider, HP simmons, noserider, bonzer, channel twin, semi gun and they should be good to go south of pt conception 2mmyep. maybe throw a keel or quad fish in there
This is literally my quiverI'll bet you could go even more minimalist, with a Flare squash and an SD round, and be covered for most of our conditions.
