Full but tapered down. Not quite a flat deck type but a little similar.

Kinda between the 5'10 and 6'0 but the 2.63 rails on the 6'0 scare me a bit.

The boar in the pics I took is 6'0. They feel slightly more pulled down than what 2.63 normally feels like. My Pyzalien2XL is 2.56 and rails feel full. The 6'0 Crisis rail feels a smidge lower.

Thanks. Good info.

I might actually order a custom 5'11 with 2.5" rails as shipping is cheaper on a 5'11.

I’ve seen Joel surf better. Turns seemed forced and some of the bottom turns looked sluggish.

Not saying the board is bad. If i were to use “crisis“ in the name I’d call it “Identity Crisis”. It’s not a mid twin and it’s not a performance twin.

It’s cruisey-ish, it’s performacey-ish.

It’s like a street legal dirt bike. Not a great dirt bike and not a great street bike.

There’s just no place for it for me personally.

Really not trying to bash @Pyzelsurfboards at all. I love his boards and he’s a SB local who’s gone big time, and deservedly so.
Fair enough. Joel is still a full on ripper, and this board is not designed for that sort of surfing at all. On the other hand, after he rode it he was raving about how much fun it was and how it got him all stoked to go surf on some very marginal days now.
It's not meant to enhance your surfing performance as much as it is designed to let you enjoy crappier waves and get some flow going.

Yeah I can see that.

Btw, a little while back you made a midlife crisis for Roche and he ripped the **** out of it in some less than stellar SB surf.

I think I have an earlier version of this model. 6'0 but wider than the new stock dims. 2.63 thick and the rails feel much thinner than my 2.5 pyzalien or other similar boards. It's a really fun versatile board. It doesn't ride like a shortboard but will do some good turns. I thought I might like a narrower one but actually like the way mine looks a little more. Paddles very well.

How wide? Was thinking of getting a custom 5'11 and going a little wider than stock. Maybe around 20" rather than 19 3/4" but would be open to going wider.

Don't really want something that feels like a shortboard, more of a short egg to fit in tighter waves.

6' Mitch Surman Dark void model. I think its 20" x 2&3/4" @38L. Demo board. Mitch's factory do the Aust Albums and glass jobs for quite a few name shapers.
First outing was in the afternoon after I already had a couple of hours in a morning surf. Being old my energy was somewhat depleted. Waves were pitching, long lined 3' beachbreaks. First wave airdrop last part of takeoff into pit and barreled then detonated. Second wave go to pump down the line but my back foot slipped off the side of the tail. Red fins in pics that came in the board felt like they had way too much resistance. They are taller fins than a JS power twin and with a fuller tip and solid, stiff fibreglass.
After that wave closed out right in front of me so dived under it and was somersaulted. Came up and no resistance on leg rope. Snapped near the rail saver. Universe told me that was enough.
So gave it another go in super fast beachbreaks 2-3' this morning. The ones where you look for corners to take off on as most were closeouts. Board felt great underfoot. Loose and responsive with excellent speed on tap. Changed fins to the Tamayo clear fibreglass which are smaller and with some nice flex in the tips which are a vast improvement. Could probably go for a slightly larger set of DVS twins I have.
Iphone pics make the board look way fatter in the planshape than it is. It’s also more purple than the pink in the pics though idgaf.
Told I can have the board to ride until early next month and an option to buy for a very reasonable price. Very likely it is not going back to the factory.IMG_2741.jpgIMG_2742.jpgIMG_2750.JPGIMG_2751.JPGIMG_2752.JPG
