Softer feel than a swallow. Instead of a pin it's a rounded pin....doubled. mush boards need area in the tail. Like snowshoes need area. At least that's how I look at it..What's the score with the butt tail? I've started seeing a few people doing them lately and it just doesn't look like an efficient shape to me...
What are the ride characteristics of that design?
OK, its not attractive. But would you say its butt-ugly?As you know, I think Roberts boards rule, and my Diamond Fish is my all time favorite- (you know the N. Hydroflexed one). But, this tail is not pleasing to the eye imho (and I'm an a--man). If it ain't broke, why fix it? Original shape was designed for specific conditions- There is no board that does everything. We all need a comprehensive quiver, each board designed for particular wave conditions! This is Dume Local and I approve this message.
You don't have to have a butt tail. All the other tail options are still there. The board was requested by someone who had a MM. People rode it and liked it. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shrug.gif" alt="" />As you know, I think Roberts boards rule, and my Diamond Fish is my all time favorite- (you know the N. I can picture the model laminate as a curvasious chick with long hair looking over her shoulder. And where her face is supposed to be is a pad of butter...THE BUTTERFACE...she aint much to look at but everyone has fun riding her.Yes- but it may have a good personality.
