El Hefe, i would use 5 minute epoxy for a project like that. Works a treat. Otherwise buy needforspeed a 12 pack of choice IPA.

Why not install hanger on back if you want to only show off one side could add spacer maybe 1/2" thick to allow light to see other side or install hanger to top "tab side" and cord hung from ceiling. Or maybe on shelve you could use wood block cut channel in it for tabs and use grub screws and display.
