Does this count as not knowing the dims prior to receipt?TBH went with 25L or so.
Can't remember the exact order and the dims aren't on the order slip.
Nah, cause i chose the dims. 5'6, a tad wider than 18.5, and 2 1/4 thick. The kid in the shop told me it would come out a little over 25.Does this count as not knowing the dims prior to receipt?
I’m 6’1@165. Soyboy dims on full display.what, in 1992?
Interesting. A little wide and thin. I tend to like narrower and thicker. Have you tried something like 19 or 18.88 x 2.4? Very good, especially if waves are cranking.I’m 6’1@165. Soyboy dims on full display.
Widths around 19.25-19.75 depending on the stubby-ness.
figure 6x19.25x2.31 as the starting point.
The Brazzos would beg to differ. That is huge for someone his size. The thing probably floats him at his hips.
Over-volumed HPSBs make it difficult to be in the deepest takeoff spot, especially critical drops. Too buoyant.
Up and riding they sit way too on top of the water and can't engage the rail. No good.
You can get away with a board being a little undervolumed on a HPSB, they are a bitch to paddle but better than being on way too much foam.
Waves cranking are our shortcoming in San Diego. I used to ride 18.88 (coming from 18.5) but once I started having tim stamps make me boards and he was the one to suggest pushing out the width given where I surf and my height/weight, which worked very well for NCSD reefs which have many many flat spots and burger takeoffs to deal with. my last 18.88” wide boar was an OTR 5’11 lost subbuggy.Interesting. A little wide and thin. I tend to like narrower and thicker. Have you tried something like 19 or 18.88 x 2.4? Very good, especially if waves are cranking.
Info easily available, Medina especially rides boats for his size by your standards. Italo as well I believe.Link?
Whatever Medina rides is irrelevant. Italo is primarily concerned with doing airs and has alot more muscle in the average server. FT was riding the same as me at my weight, I had a few of his boards that he never rode. There is a lot more to it than volume.Info easily available, Medina especially rides boats for his size by your standards. Italo as well I believe.
deforest, i didn't know u owned a pyzel??Here you go Casa. @casa_mugrienta
