I haven't been there for decades....but doubt there is surf there and don't remember anything other than occasional shore pound just sufficient to knock my old GF face first into the sand.. Look at where it is...not much exposure to anything. But, as always...I could be wrong.

Fishing village/community. A few nice hotels and restaurants. The tourism crowd drives South from Tucson/Phoenix to Penasco. I remember highway signs along the road going South advising ‘tourists’ the road is Tourist Friendly and tourists welcomed or words to that effect. One day or so and we were out of there (saw whatever there was to see). If you’re looking for surf and things to do, go down Western Baja and Baja Sur for surf and sight seeing.

Been through there quite a few times on the way south many years ago.
Smelly shrimping port. Knida like San Felipe except over on the other side. They have a couple of fire engines that SB sent them.
