Yeah kind of sounds like he took it straight out at jaws, unless they had some other prototypes ridden elsewhere to test it.

Some guy who knows something about aeronautics saw big wave surfing and called up Christenson and said the reason their boards are coming off the wave and doing a wheelie is due to the pointed nose. The nose should look like this. Then he tested it on the roof of his car.

That's the story I heard if I remember correctly.
