I would be surprised if this passes. And if it does, expect a rate hike on your electric bill.

Getting dark earlier in the afternoon = more energy being used

Getting light later in the morning = less energy used, as a lot of people do not wake up until 8AM or later anyway.

I was the only one in the office on Monday that was bummed about losing an hour of morning light. Everyone else was just bummed that they "lost" an hour of sleep.
I prefer it light out earlier in the AM vs later in the PM.

Spring sucks in general.

I honestly don't understand why DST bothers so many people. Some people act like it is the biggest problem in their life because they lose an hour of sleep.

And since we're all stuff like lanes of traffic being destroyed for bikes, coal-powered electric vehicles, per mile taxes...why not this too?

When this happens, that which is now DST, will become the Standard Time, so it will be light later in the morning, and get dark later in the evening according to the reporting I've heard the past couple of years.
All of our habits and schedules will migrate to best fit the new time, pretty quickly I presume.

Actually, you’re right. Some schools are already planning on starting later. Hopefully work schedules adjust too

If it was up to me, Daylight Savings Time would be permanent and in the fall we would spring forward an additional hour. It should never be dark before 7 pm. I have no problem waking up and going to work in darkness but it sucks to have no daylight after the work day is over.

That would be a dream come true. Getting a 2-3 hour surf in before work would be amaze balls. Death to daylight savings, life to standard time!
