I pulled a clip off surfline rewind of Steamroller, I don't want to post it unless he says OK though. :)

I am torn. I could foil 1st or 2nd tomorrow since it's high tide late morning and there should be waves. Or, I could go surf solid overhead beach break on a standard board. Not sure which to do.
Do bothhttps://forum.surfer.com/forum/images/icons/default/wink.gif

thanks Hdip...yup i got it....time for a Video!

Dusted off the GoPro and took it out to the harbor mouth yesterday. This spot only breaks once or twice a year. I've been eye balling this spot to foil since I started. It'll cap off the end of the jetty then run as a swell without breaking for over 300 yards.

probable the first time thats EVER been ridden on a surfboard/shortboard/foil...whatever anything shorter than a n OC1.....need to get chris with the drone!
the spencer groms tried it last winter but no rides this long. chris was there with the drone but didn't have the batteries charged and only had 12 minutes of battery..missed both my rides.

The weekend forcast though, direction sucks, but maybe some wrap into harbs at that size :thought:
Or might have to go hunting Maui's underbelly.

Saturday

That's why I started reading about the canard design. You can actually turn off the tail one review said.

Early morning check northside with a good sized (10ft @ 18 sec) NW swell all spots were closed out and onshore wind. Went west side to get some shelter and scored a spot usually don't foil but gets fun when it's working.

Yesterday was epic buttery walls out at Ka'a. Sets were a couple feet overhead on the outside, not a puff of wind most of the session, clear green/blue water to the bottom.

I don't think it's the footstraps that are making you get air. It's getting rid of that hydration pack that was weighing you down.

The hydropack had it's purpose. ;)
