Have any of you been to Phuket during the monsoon surf season? I'm planning 5 days in Phuket as part of a three week Southeast Asia trip to Bali, Phuket, and Krabi in June/July. I've been trying to do research on best surf areas, but haven't found that much. I'm planning on Surin Beach and Nai Harn area. The 10 day Thailand leg of the trip is more for food, culture, beaches, nature, and snorkeling than surfing. Although I won't be expecting much, I know that some of the Phuket beaches can get fun during this time of year. Any recommendations/suggestions on areas to stay/avoid would be greatly appreciated!
