Not sure yet. Really tough.

I will be required to spend a few days in the Sydney beaches I'm sure.

Otherwise, seems like Norah Head is pretty consistent with a variety of waves (?) along with the beaches south

How will La Neenya effect things?

I always prefer to post up one place rather than move around but seems difficult. Don't want to get caught up covering too much ground.

Considering I won't be able to drive like a maniac I don't think I'll make it down to Victoria.

Lennox Head.
Norah Head is north of Sydney (what we call Central Coast).

Some really pretty beach towns just north of Ulladulla if you want to wake up in nature with Kangaroos on your front lawn.

S....n. Point is a good wave but very localised and crowded.

More room to move further south.

It's normally a net positive as far as surf goes- more swell from the E to SE- which is favourable.

Can produce more rain though.

Not quite as strong an effect down there.

I've spent lots of time at Norah Head over the years - had friends that lived there.

Plenty of beachies and a couple of reef breaks. It's now basically in suburbia so don't expect anything uncrowded. Nothing that I would travel from the other side of the world for.

La Niña will be slow to kick in, forecast is only for neutral ENSO through August. It’s a beautiful area; tons of spots.

once in Kiama i pulled in for gas and was greeted with..."we just closed...see 'ya Monday" (!)...i slept in my
car at the pump for 2 days...:foreheadslap:

Going to spend the first 3 days and Syndey for my wife's sake. Narrabeen area.

Then post up in Ulladulla vicinity. Looks like so many waves in that zone I'm bound to blow it driving around.

Since I'm on the continent decided to finish off the trip with two days in Melbourne.

Any surf related reason to spend more time in that area? Don't want to have to lug along a 4/3 unnecessarily.

I'm guessing it suffers the same issues as Tasmania?

No surf in Melbourne.

Unless you want to go to the Bells area which is around 100 km away. You'll definitely need a 4/3 for there I reckon

Send me a PM Casa - I'm down around there and can fill you in on some good spots or meet up for a surf. Around Shellharbour - sometimes in Ulladulla. And by far the best time to surf is july.

In Sydney for a few days, then down to Shellharbour early this upcoming week for most of the week, then down to Ulladulla zone for a couple weeks.

Anyone care to share thoughts on the upcoming forecast?
