Ok so, I asked for the pitch, I was curious, and I signed on the dotted line

It’s howling out of the east what are you thinking man. Get a peloton or a girlfriend or something ;)
No way, the ocean is the best gym. The swim to make it outside was a bit challenging with the short period, then floated for about a mile, bodysurfing a few on the way. Then found a nice rip to fight against on way in to finish up. The walk back on sand kinda sucked with the sore hip though.

Oh exercising/swimming not surfing. Roger roger

still burly motivation. Took me 3 hours to exercise and have bong hits and man time before I finally even left the house on errands and a board buying mission. Diner now to fuel up for the retail therapy. They say you shouldn’t shop hungry

Retail therapy complete. A gift for the best and most feared/respected guide in the Huatulco region. And look @gbg I even have a set of fahhn custom fins for Jaime, to go with his new hypto. He loves these things with a passion after riding mine last summer. They actually cost $75 less off the rack at my local. Got the last 6’0 in stoke. As Jaime requested. He will be stocked as will I myself. Those boards if you can find one in Salinas are $900 American. I paid quite a bit less.

and the fins were a gift from my new private surf club

everyone wins. Except my shoulder if I do end up making it a bunch worse or dislocating it again:drowning:

paying off locals is a great idea. remember that when you fangs come to oxnard. the n is silent.
He and his brother are the locals that matter most. All the young shredders worship them. I bring him expensive gifts. All of gbg’s “low tide at sunrise“ weeks are belong to me

You know your body better than any Doctor is going to tell you stability wise...shoulders are weird b/c there is so much going on with them (ball and socket) - if it feels stable after all this prehab and swimming, freaking go for it. A little tape goes a long way to just remembering that one is fcked while in the lineup.

Surfed Hatteras all weekend and it was pumping, no issues. It's still firing down there, but you know, work. Gotta show up and put in some good hours b/f I leave for Nica Thursday where I popped it out last year.

What's the worst that can happen really? Another dislocation, pop back in and you're still in paradise with pain killers and warm weather...get home and schedule surgery - problem solved ;)

this is the way

my knee from last year's torn meniscus is still more bothersome than this much more recent shoulder incident

I'm telling the surgeon my plans. He is either on board, or he tells me not to surf and i go anyway and we do a fresh MRI when i get back. The original sports doc was spot on preaching caution and restraint, and a visit with a specialist- that is what a vast majority of normal people would do.

However, i may claim a lot of things, but normalcy is not one of those things. I'll make sure the surgeon i meet next week understands that I have every intention of continuing to abuse my body to its fullest, for as long and as hard as i can. I take great care of my body, but i also go out of my way to destroy it from time to time, and if I'm not doing that, then I'm just not out there

Oooooo juicy. Giant hole in the pine barrens. 100 memberships sold, approaching the 150 cap. He said he can think of about 6 finance bros out of the 100 founders. Escrow at Bank of America. Pneumatic wave tech. Closest analog in existence is the one in Brazil, but even that will be a distant second to this wave. 7 foot guaranteed barrel for 85 yards 85 yards is WAY further than I imagined. The engineers think they can probably get 8-9 feet or more. But they are guaranteeing 7

natural street gas fuels The on-site generator which powers the club, the heat, the CO 2 is scrubbed upon exhaust, and whatever is not scrubbed is capturEd and sold to soda bottlers. Not only is it carbon negative they will be making money on the sale of their captured carbon.

the site is in the middle of a 50 foot plus patch of pine barren. Literally a wave pool in the woods. It’s beautiful and I wrote my deposit check with the smuggiest grin I could muster. It’s perfect.

See the red flag? That is the take off spot. Zoom waaaaaaaayyyyy in and you can see the far flag. That will be the end section. 85 yards is quite a wave.

I reccomend going to the website for simulations and design. The clubhouse will be super chill. Luxury and comfort with minimal pretension. But enough to keep me happy
2+ months later - @Subway how is the build coming?

Edited.

I've had a couple buy/sell interactions in the erBB classifieds (all 10000% positive) and an address or two was intriguing. There's some erBBers who low-key tell Alan Greenspan what art they want in their foamed milk and remind Bill Gates to buy their dog a wagyu slider if he drops a good boy deuce on his walk.

Haven't had a single haggle issue doing the businesses on the erBB. Mind you I've bought/sold fins and bought surfing videos, not fancy resin tinted, acid splash, gloss polish fancy boars or anything.

Oh and in a separate, non-classified-section incident, someone was deluded beyond belief and said I HATE MONEY AND WANT TO LOSE IT and so I said okay.

Is you net worth more or less than $1 million ]

I make less than 250k and I dont have 1 million dollars.
