Neither the party apparatus nor the party members are supporting Gabbard to any significant degree. At most she's the Ron Paul of this election cycle.
Ron Paul's supporters by and large knew who the f--k Ron Paul was. They knew he was a Libertarian. They might not have known he put amendments in for his own pork, then voted against the bill, but they knew he was a Libertarian.

Tulsi has a 100% from the Brady Campain, an F from the NRA, and a 0% from the Hawaii Rifle Association.

SHE CO-SPONSORED THE FAR KING ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN

And here we have half the erBB thinks she's some kind of 2nd Amendment centrist.

I think at this point afoaf and Autoprax and Fecal we need to turn off the reading comprehension and critical thinking, and flood the zone with bright-eyed smiling Tulsi pictures, because somehow, and I have no idea why, it's working.

All the Midwest farmers vote Chrump. He tariff-f--ks them dry up the turd cutter.

These same people are ripe for Tulsi 2020: Keep America's Assault Rifles Semi-Automatic Again.

They're practically clamoring for it!

You're single issuing, I'm single issuing.

Regime change is a fact of life in DC and that is exactly why she's being attacked. Hell, it only takes a picture of one dead kid and you guys are ready to spend another decade "nation-building" while inviting all the refugees into your backyards

Holy sh!t, Fecal and reading comprehension in the same sentence?

He'd agree with most of Tulsi's positions, yet doesn't like her because of some ideological purity nonsense from two decades ago and because Hillary told him she's a Russian plant

First off I already cited how Tulsi, in votes already taken, is inviting in all muh refugees.

Second, Trump hasn't pulled out of jack sh!t in Syria and nobody cares about the dead kid on the beach or the shell-shocked kid in the Amber Lamps except Trump appointees.

I criticized announcing it on twitter but other than that I'm good with most of Trump's foreign policy, other than appointing people who ravenously want a war with Iran, and intervening in Yemen because Saudi Arabia told Trump to.

"Everyone deserves quality healthcare in our country. As president, I will work to ensure all Americans have that quality healthcare through a single-payer system..."

Which I've said I disagree with, every time

However, she's at least doing the simple math of how to pay for it, ie, stop spending so much on war and other countries.

Tulsi is a co-sponsor of H.R.1384 - Medicare for All Act of 2019, which would provide universal healthcare to all Americans

Tulsi Gabbard: I support Medicare For All and I want to tell you why
As President and Commander-in-Chief, I will end the wasteful counterproductive regime-change wars, and reinvest those trillions of dollars in the needs of the American people.

Let's check the tape!

Gabbard is a gun-grabbing green new dealer.
Bernie has decades of experience as a Democratic Socialist.

Biden, Buttigieg, Bullock, Klobuchar, and all the white representatives who won those districts but since dropped out could all do better than Gabbard and Bernie at winning back the upper midwest Obama-Trump voters.

The list of people who can't is probably shorter: Harris, Steyer, and Bloomberg.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't get the Gabbard meme beyond having a killer smile. Her platform is hilariously to the left of where you all seem to pretend it is, but because she, like every other Democrat, pans the Iraq war, and her cult and/or religion won't accept Mayor Pete, suddenly she has this working-class voter appeal?

She's basically who Fox News puts on after their viewers pop a viagra to fap to Nikki Haley, realize they can't fap to that, and need to call an audible on the sexy blitz to defend against the blue balls when Ainsley is off camera.
Obviously both Gabbard and Sanders have positions that are in conflict with conservatives. However the fact that several right wing posters on this place seem to have decent things to say about her, especially when compared to the rest of the dem candidate circus, should give you an indication of how she would fare on the broader stage. There are certainly no shortage of zero tolerance voters when it comes to guns in particular, but you don't need to win all of them over. There are plenty of moderates in all of the swing states.

There was even a lot of crossover in the swing states between Sanders and Trump supporters. Both played the hero to the lower and middle class who were left behind by globalization, "played" being the operative word, especially with Trump. I have more faith in Sanders capturing that squishy middle than I do just about anyone else on that stage.

As for Gabbard. It's clear that several of the dem candidates are intimidated by her, hence the smear campaigns from her own "team" and the media. They wouldn't be intimidated her her if she was not a threat, which means she stands a chance against Trump.

I thank you for the clear response and sorry to be a dick because it's a good and detailed recipe...for weak sauce.

It's feels-based weak sauce. Some people who know nothing about Gabbard other than her signature issue is anti-interventionism burnished by her service have decent things to say about her. I bet when John Kerry was getting his sh!t pushed in by Howard Dean early in the 2004 cycle, the soon to be Swift Boat Vets for Truth had good things to say about him. About 75% of the people currently spamming Facebook with Trump Dindu Nuffin memes back in 2015 were spamming Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio and calling Trump a New York Democrat.

The indication I'm getting is that she'd fare horribly, because nobody knows anything about her and she's not up against them in the General.

If I was looking for someone who stands a chance against Trump, I'd look for someone who overperformed Hillary, handily, in 2016, in Trump zones.

And I'd come up with Bullock and Klobuchar ages before I came up with Gabbard.

only problem, you might win in tumplandia -midwest but not in much else. progressives would not vote. youth would not vote which is a complete disaster.
I think aa lot of people would just walk away from voting.
