And how crappy it looked - compared to present - in marginal conditions on longer boards

If that's the case you wouldn't know it from the way the guy manhandles Tomo's shapes.
I think he's in better shape from muscle perspective than he was in the 90s. You never see the guy training but he's obviously training and it's had a dramatic impact on his surfing and the way he moves.

what's funny is this wasn't a little boo boo like she mentioned. This was a grade A Royal fvck up of great proportions.
