Why would the witness called by the Minority to testify at the Impeachment Hearings feel it appropriate to pose an imaginary Nike Corporation TV advertisement, followed by a lengthy quote from a movie made in the mid-60's, in his opening statement?
Plus a reference to his Goldendoodle...
At first glance, it looks like intentional 'dumbing down' of the process. Fits well with the two calls for Motion Head Counts by the Minority, the results of which were undoubtedly known in advance, and serve to waste the Committee's time. Note to anyone claiming the Ipeachment process is a waste of time: It is the Minority engaged thus far in wasting time and theatrics.
that was the GOP's "constitutional scholar"

the whole things was tripe

no one cars who is mad and why....or whether the proceedings will quell that; you'd
think that a scholar would grasp that the objective of impeachment is not to address
people's feelings.

further, the record is incomplete precisely because the person being impeached
has blocked testimony by folks who have direct knowledge such as Mulvaney,
McGahn, and Bolton.

his monologue was enragingly bad...

Once again, on purpose.

Tears will flow

Since we're already wasting everyone's time and money with this sham, might as well make a mockery of it, and even better, a mockery of the people who care so much

GOP want to call Adam Schiff as a witness? for what purpose?

If they want factual witnesses, shouldn't they call Trump, Guliani, Mulvaney, etc etc?

Even Jonathon Turley's Goldendoodle is mad! That must be really scary.
He is undermining his credibility. The other 3 witnesses have not tried to disguise their position. Turley has made claims of impartiality, but misses no opportunity to testify from a partisan point of view.

and they moved to subpoena the whistleblower again despite the fact that
the details provided in their report to the IG have been substantiated in spades

I thought the allusion to when "the winds blow again for a democratic president"
was pretty telling...like "fuck with our guy and we'll fuck with your guy"

anyone in their right mind would agree that a president that has done 1/1000th
as much corrupt bullshit in office should be impeached post haste, regardless of
political affiliation.

but, again, that's the difference between Democrats and these craven Republicans.

This is the new normal. Ever since Clinton was impeached the opposition has been trying to find something on every President. You better believe that the second a Democrat is elected the Republicans will be looking for something to impeach on

Yet it never gets stopped because the politicians and judicial decided to stop prosecuting minor crimes.

But that's neither here nor there, this isn't about crime and you know it. They'll never prosecute one of their own on something they can get caught for themselves

which is also why political reform is unpossible...

U.S.A.
Half of the democrats in office and the majority of the media should be sent to the gulag for fomenting such divisiveness because they simply could not accept the results of the 2016 election to this day.
:)
was Clinton duly impeached ?? )
