Like the Rasta uprights with the inside foil so much, I picked up the Muchachos. Looks like they have a slightly thinner tip. I suspect they’re similar template to Akilas, which I also really like.
So why are the fin companies like nvs switching to g10 only? Regular glass fins were fine I don’t need a freaking carbon steel scalpel for a fin. Morans

Yes, G10 has many advantages. But it’s ability to be deadly sharp and hard as steel makes it super sketch IMO.

I have a bunch of NVS fins and really like them but I agree with you. I have a 10 year old set of Pancho Futures that are just stiff fiberglass and they are my favorite fins.

At your size, it makes sense that you like a stiffer fin. I think I generally like some flex, given the average waves I surf.
there’s so many variables, but I feel like I’ve (finally) dialed in what kinda templates I prefer after experimenting the last few years. But then I’ll randomly try a set I wouldn’t expect to like… and it goes great! So then I think WTF and question everything again.
