There has def been an increase in crime and homelessness in encinitas.
I guess my question is, what can a diff mayor or new leadership actually do?
This seems like a good job for some clandestine vigilante group.
Men in suits seem so powerless.
What a new mayor and city council can do is instruct the Sheriff to enforce the laws. A new mayor and city council can create ordinances that prohibit loitering, public urination/defecation, camping on public property, etc... Anything that reverses the welcome mat laid out by our current inept leadership.
I guess that makes sense. Is there anyone besides Jeff who will vow to clean up the town?
He seems way too "law and order" for me.
I'm all for getting rid of the crime but still want to drink a beer on the beach, illegally.
He may be the best of the lot but I'm not sure he's the right guy. Need to know more about this Blobe guy.
