It's pathetic. They need a little less than 3 days if I'm not mistaken. They should have 3 days of swell starting tomorrow, what was the point of running this crap today?

Seriously - you’ve got Molly and Caity battling for top 5 spots and you decide to run their heat in almost dead flat conditions and then change your mind one heat later? FFS.

I've run over 50 surf contests and not once did I not call off an event for lack of surf. This was long before Surfline when guys would actually "pray" for surf. Maybe that's the problem, they might need to rely upon some collective higher power to get the ocean to cooperate.

They should have run all 4 womens heats because nobody gets ELo'ed and time is of the essence. Get through the meaningless seeding heats and get into the elimination rounds when there are waves. Carissa and Caity both get to surf again and will be just fine I'm sure.

1960's San Clemente contest; 1 ft, and under. Corkey Caroll (sp) doing spinners, his board upside down and fin first. Contest ON.
