This Oriole has been avoiding me for over a month now but I finally got him! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/hah.gif" alt="" />

Not a great shot but at this point I'm happy with any shot of this little bastid. He comes in to feed at the neighbors feeder every night but as soon as he see's me he is off.

Everytime he has come around he has split in the blink of an eye as soon as he see's me. There is no way you can be fast enough to capture this little prick_ of a bird!

Well today he wasn't fast enough! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I love Skimmers. We have 'em in FL too. This time of year they are nesting and they like sand bars with no vegetation. Given that every sandbar around here is condominium project, they have taken to nesting on the causeways going across the bay. It's an 8 lane highway and they just sit there sometimes 40 feet from traffic.

I wish one of those birds would fly 50 miles an hour into Jeb Bush's eye socket to remind him that we need a comprehensive growth policy that at least sometimes says NO!

Cool looking bird Chucho!

I have never seen one before and it doesn't look anything like the skimmers we have here.

Post up some more if you get any! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

This owl is one of three that lives in the trees in my backyard.... The others are larger. But this one is brave and comes out in the daylight! And is apparently not scared easily as he let me go in the house and get my camera!

Yeah, one of those days I was out there chasing terns.
They're pretty big and dark. A whole shitload of them flew right at me as I was on the bridge.

I was like, "motherfooker!!"

Then I swung the lens around and they were all like, "motherfooker!!" as they scattered.

I snapped a few, they looked back at me, I at them, and we were all like, "motherfooker!!"

Old stuff....gotta get some new ones scanned I guess.

Male Lovebird feeding his chick.

Duke the Wonder Dog wondering if anyone is looking sheepish or not. Looking towards backyard.

Nice little Doe steelhead caught just at dark one evening on the Campbell River. Floating line, long leader and slightly weighted fly called a Spade. Too much fun!

I used to stop my truck and sprint after these guys whenever I had the chance. Often they'd stop and freeze so I'd take a pic and leave them be.

This is a pretty big Black Bear up along the Muchalat River. He fishes there a lot in the Fall and I've run across him a few times. Had to throw rocks at him one time to get him to move so my pals and I could fish the run he was fishing in. He went into the bush a bit and hung around 'til we left. Snapped this as we passed by heading downstream.

Take care.
