Hey there,

I'm new here. I'm a 13 year surfer and a newish photographer. These photos you guys have posted are great. Completely inspiring thread. I don't know how to post photos yet but if anyone would like to check out some of mine go to www.saltydogphotography.com I hope it's cool to plug my new site here if not, sorry and I'll try to figure how to post pics. Constructive Criticism and Photoshop advice is always welcome.
saltydog - I am blown away by your photos and your website!

For a young man of 13 years old you are way ahead of the game. In fact, I could learn some things from you!

Thanks for posting your website and feel free to post up your photos here as you get them.

Solid work you have and I'd love to see more!!

Hey keenfish, ha ha, I meant I've been surfing for 13 years. I geuss I was just trying to introduce myself without being mistaken for a kook. (Not that there's anything wrong with that) everyone's got to start somewhere. For the record I'm thirty years old. But I'll take the compliment anyway, even if it was intended for a teenager.

These guys are campin' out on the roof of my sanding room. It's a bit dusty so i ran momma off twice, and even got rid of the nest, only to find her back a couple days later.

Went to take a look today(first time in a couple weeks) and momma done popped out a couple chicks!

Hey Keenfish, took a little road trip this last weekend.

Oh nobody around? Don't mind if I do.

These little bastages didn't stand a chance against JJR's superior expertise + power bait/salmon egg combos.

ThaDood - nice shots man and great additions to the thread. I dig your chocolate lab!

JJR - that looks like a great trip. Haven't done the loop in years. That skillet of trout has my mouth watering but the thing that is swimming looks even more mouth watering!

Awe - nice morning glories! Did you know that the Morning Cloak butterfly lays it's eggs on the morning glory vine. I know... they are french fry butterflies but the caterpillers really do attach themselves to the morning glories and then turn into a crystalist before emerging as a full fledged Morning Cloak french fry butterfly!!

Didn't know that Keen. You're pretty well educated on this stuff - keep up the flow of info, I'm diggin' it.

Here's a couple more of the morning glories, with a little backlight. They're my favorite flower. The seeds contain a hallucinogenic substance as well, no wonder those butterflies do french fries, they spend the first cycle of their lives trippin on mornin' glory acid!

As I snapped these shots to the left of me, there were solid 8 footer's reeling across the point to the right.

Back a bit I posted a pic of some featherless reptilian looking baby Parrotlets.
Here's a progress report for them.
First pic here shows them a few days after the last pic.

Here they are a bit further along and almost fully feathered. The two larger birds are now flying around like maniacs and almost weaned.

These are the three baby Lovebirds we've been hand-feeding for a few weeks now.
They are much larger now than in this pic, which is about 10 days old.

Take care.
