Nature Is Metal on Instagram: "Snow leopard air walks a mountain goat. A permanent escape route is still technically an escape route. While it might not have been the goat's intention, he inadvertently stuck it to the leopard. Instead of being able to hold on to this goat at the top, the cat was forced to walk all the way down to the bottom (which she did, photographer confirmed) to retrieve her quarry. Red shouldered hawk watching over the trail
am i doing birdwatching right?
Was up in the sandy cliffs watching waves and saw this big hawk. Didn’t want to sneak up on it so i said “hey bird!” a few times as I approached, seemed to work. It let me get about ten feet from it, then ruffled up its feathers to let me know close enough.
we’ve been hanging out up there for a couple hours a day for the last three days. Pretty bird
Found the remains of a rat in my garden as I was ripping out the tomato plants last weekend.
Headed up to Coursegold (on the way to Yosemite) to visit friends this weekend.

I liked this shot by Krishan Jayakodi of what he called a Fisher Eagle with a Pufferfish it grabbed.
He claimed the bird carried it for a bit but eventually dropped it.
Probably a good thing as those fish are really venomous.
