West of the Atlantic. East of the ICW.
My friend Karen encountered a feeding frenzy on a bait ball and got a couple good shots.

Nice close-up of a greedy Eagle with a fistful of din-din.

Takes a few to make a decent meal.

Take care.
Nice. One of my photography friends got a an incredible sequence last week of an osprey catching two fairly decent sized fish at once. One with each foot. He is a Nikon shooter and I'm fairly certain this was taken with the Nikon 600mm F4. This guy's photography is insanely good and he's got equipment I can only dream of. Here is a link.

Lots of youngsters this time of year and Sooke based photographer Kate Woods got a few nice shots.

Here's Mom Merganser with her 10 kids tagging along.

Here's a juvenile Dipper harassing a parent for food. Kate claimed it whined incessantly as she watched.
I see the same thing with young Crows here.

And here's a Doe suckling her healthy-looking fawn.

This photo was taken in Washington state recently, but I could have taken it earlier this evening here, as literally the same thing happened while I was eating supper and looking out my window.
Note fish in one Eagle's talons.

Had a real show here as someone dumped a bunch of fish carcasses on the beach about 100 yards away from where I live.
Between the Turkey Vultures and the Eagles, it was really frenetic.

Here's what happens every time I go lay out on the beach.
I must be showing my age.
Vulture checking me out. LOL
