In the garden today, 7/30.
Have you ever heard of focus?
It doesn't look like it.
I don't see anything in focus in this krap !!!
This shot looks as krappy as your wave snap-shots !!!

Really enjoying your photos everybody!

That is a cool shot of the preying mantis knice!
And the butterfly at the Thistle(?) was quite nice too!
What kind of butterfly is it??
Keep'em coming man.

ThaDood - I liked all the shots you posted but the wet rat was my favorite. Reminded me of the rats at MagBay surf camp!

Some kind of "bird" checking out the sailboarders.

Actually, that just may be the Canadian Air Force out practising, now that I think about it.

Howzit Keener?

I'm ignorant as can be regarding what type of plane that is but it certainly looks nice.
I filched the pic from a sailboarder site and I think it was shot over Nitnat Lake, on the west side of Vancouver Island.

Take care.

Nice shots of the Cicada Chucho. Very nice!

Did you know that Cicadas lay dormant in the pupa stage for 7 years before they emerge as full fledged adults?

Noisey bastids for sure but the cicada hatch on the Green River in N. Utah every spring brings the BIG trout out of their hidding spots!

I hear ya - was just captioning the shot - cool shots BTW - that thing looks like it has a beamer grille. I've seen those before in my travels - trippy bugs, and huge!

So what did you name it?

One of our little White-face Blue series Lovebirds with a violet factor. My wife took the pic so don't blame me for lack of quality.

This is a Fischer Lovebird we raised.
We named it Bobby......or Bobbi......could be either.

Take care.

Nice ones PPB!

I guess the volley ball action wasn't all that and a bag of chips??

Fuller - that's a sick shot. Hate to see a hummer go down like that but I dig it in a morbid nature kind of way.
I'm funny like that. I like the balance sheet that nature follows and if one must go then so be it.
Survival of the fittest.

The Common Terns are all rooked up right now in front of the sh!t plant south of Brookhurst. They have been going nuts for the last week now flying in huge packs and making noise like you can't believe. Even at night I've been hearing them.
Get out there and shoot them now!! (with a camera that is)

Here's my contribution.
This is a baby Least Tern I caught about a month ago. Probably hasn't been flying for more than a few days.
It's body mass is not much larger than an adult hummingbird. They are all wings.
Not a super sharp shot but worth posting as it's not everyday you see one of these little units.

Keep those cards and letters coming kids!
