Gromsdad hit the gym hard for the past couple of years to fix said shoulder and minor weight issue and to prepare to open can of whoopass as needed. Hal should look into a toupee.

New Jersey's 33rd best surf photographer.

Lot of great surf photographers in NJ. Thanks for recognizing me as 33rd best. Its an honor to be in such great company as guys like mez and tallteef. Hope to someday crack the top 20 or even top 10. Can someone loan me $17,000 for the gear it would take to crack the top 10? I'll take a Canon R3 with a 200-400 F4 please. I'll also need a travel budget so I can shoot more than a mile from my home. Cheers.

An old shot but one I'm fond of that showed up in my memories recently. Was just starting out and didn't have the benefit of Lightroom back then. Menehune charger pulling in during a contest heat about 8 years ago.

Not at all. There really are a lot of better photographers than me. I'm just lucky to live right down the street from a very good break and have access to some really good talent to "spray and pray" at with my camera. If you saw any of the stuff I posted in the past 24 hours you'll know what I mean.

GD has photo skills for sure, I always enjoy his photos and it's really great to see a dad so stoked and proud of his kids. These are the things that actually matter in life.
