Had the opposite situation yesterday. Plenty of waves, clean, offshore, and deserted. Although DOH+ cleanup sets breaking way out the back and washing out the lineup might have had something to do with the lack of people and that was after swell had dropped. And shark attack a few weeks ago; kind of a deterrent to paddling out with hardly a soul around. Grey suit localism. Kicking myself even though functioning quiver is down to a couple HPSBs and it would have probably been a bad idea anyways.thats a lot of locals. always trips me out when guys paddle out into that. too many heads. not enough waves. why add to the fuckery?
surfed a localized reef with 3 others couple days ago. had it on lockdown. every wave spoken for. of course that didnt stop 6 clowns from paddling out expecting what? a break in the rotation?
better to sit and wait for someone to get out or better yet just go away than buoy in the channel with puppy dog eyes
I feel dirty and hate myself even though it was probably the right decision.
