Haven't you been listening to Obama? Some people (low-income folks like myself) will actually recieve money from the tax cut, in the form of a check. It's because we don't pay much taxes anyway. I went to a rally at a local college earlier this week and heard him say it myself.it's not a rebate check, genius, it's a tax credit, nothing
was taken out of Mister McMillionaire's pockets, it's just
an offset for certain expenses you may have.
grasp at straws harder, bruh.
How bout taking some time off to work/save money and pay for it yourself, instead of relying on a handout? I'm not so sure I'd want to be taking on extra debt at this point in the economy.College tuition? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shrug.gif" alt="" /> Just a thought for the normal college student who is up to his ears in loans. I will be eventually. Still holding out without getting any loans and about to go into grad school next year.

under obama's plan, there are millions of people who will be paying ZERO INCOME TAXES, yet will be receiving INCOME TAX credits in the form of a fat check.it's not a rebate check, genius, it's a tax credit, nothing
was taken out of Mister McMillionaire's pockets, it's just
an offset for certain expenses you may have.
grasp at straws harder, bruh.

since the government has no money intrinsically, any money given to one individual who didn't pay into the system MUST be taken from another. period.
this is flat out income redistribution, not even under the pretense or guise of 'gov't services'.
the PAYROLL taxes are NOT income taxes, but are instead (supposedly) dedicated to government programs for which that individual either participates, or will eventually participate in, or draw from later in life.
the worst part about the false bill of goods obama is selling is not that the eventual tax "cuts" will be nothing like what's being sold, its that they will inevitably, by definition, result in reduced job creation, since most americans work for small businesses.
what good is a tax cut if your job prospects now and in the future are greatly reduced?
Sorry, don't really listen listen to talk radio, and when I do, I haven't heard anyone say it, but I do have common sense. And I heard Obama say it with my own ears, in person. And have heard Obama's advisors say it's a "tax rebate" on television. What would you like to call it?It's amazing how talk radio has convinced so many that a tax cut for the middle class is a welfare handout.
You're right. But Obama, mark my words, will do the same. There won't be any tax cuts from any adiminstration.During the first 100 days of the Palin/McCain administration, after wrestling with the budget, they will announce a serious tax increase on the middle class to pay for the $650 Billion dollar war in Iraq. Just wait my friends.
