Seems like I have something going on. Keep getting messages my gmail has been hacked and to "click here to fix". I've never installed anything so that's a big no, obviously. I haven't been told by people on my email list that I've been hacked but I've noticed a ridiculous amount of spam (way more than normal on my gmail account. I changed my google password but that's all i've done.

Anyone know something that can scan and fix my issues here?

Sounds like a well crafted phishing campaign.

make sure you’re using 2-factor auth for all critical logins like a google account and call it a day.

gmail has nothing to do with the Mac OS. If you’re on a Mac, it’s already pretty well locked down from unsigned 3rd party code execution unbeknownst to the user.

someone got your email address and knows you’re worth targeting.

this is the kind of ways people ”hack” into systems like twitter via social spear phishing attacks. this is also how they do identity theft on grandmothers.

most likely via ecommerce personal info hack and everyone that shopped there is receiving similar.

ive been getting alot of emails from gmail recently saying my account was closed due to being a backup emaill for someone else account and to click here to fix..multiple a day, i just ignore but if youre on a mac i wouldnt be worried about needing any extra anti virus.

my cousin works at a repair shop. he told me if a male under 60 comes in with a virus or malware issue 95% of the time their browser history shows they were checking porn sites when their computer got hit. otherwise for the older crowd they are mostly clicking on stupid sh!t.
