I haven't watched the review, but got this wild thought.

What if he grew out his hair!?

Is there any pictures of him pre bald nut(s)?

Would’ve been nice to know the densities of the EPS and polyurethane blanks, who made them and if they were 1st quality blanks or 2nds/defects. Not surprising the EPS fared the worst when you consider how much air is in that blank.

For those that don’t know, US Blanks offers 4 variations of EPS blanks and 6 different densities of poly blanks resulting in different weights and strengths. Check the chart below in case you ever wondered why they paint the noses of their blanks different colors. My magic combo for weight, durability and performance is a red blank with 4/4/4 S-glass for everything up to 7’6. Then I go blue for everything bigger for more glide

I loved the feel of the parallel carbon layup, but mannn! They look so ugly.

In all those clips the parallel carbon always looks funky.

I got my last XTR with a stringer glassed 8.0. It had 6 oz on the deck. Surfed the snot out of it and deck looked new when I removed the wax. Can’t say the same for most other constructions. Plus it felt a lot better under foot than EPS. Felt similar to poly. But I wasn’t looking for that ultra light feel.

Ryan Burch approved test for those who surf a blank.
Like to see the same test with the blanks shaped. The PU i would expect to fare worse after the outer crust is gone.
Then again after all the boards have been glassed with the same glassing schedule.
As Waxy pointed out there are many variations of eps and PU density blanks available that muddy the waters.
If your next board from XTR has tyre marks under the glass you may want to ask for the board to be redone.

His buddy, Prison Pocket Pete, surfs really fucking weirdly.
Such a weird style! He doesn’t twist his upper body at all. My style isn’t the greatest either, but I like to think it’s easier to look at than this guy. :ROFLMAO:

Interesting no mention of Variol as a comparison (guess they arent offering any free blanks to Lex
luther). My last XTr dented all over the place, just like varrial, but at least I know with varial little I can bust out the hairdryer for a resale dent refresh.

In my experience Varial dents as bad as an overshaped lightweight poly blank. XTR isn't even close to as bad as far as dents go.

I really like how the XTR10 boars feel, especially the single carbon strip sharpeye I got. Will definitely get another one at some point.
