Trying to plan a 1-2 week trip in March. Kind of lost on where to go to be honest wanted to see what others experienced this time of year. I’m leaning toward either Chile or Argentina. I don’t know much about the latter, just that the waves can get fun in spots and it’s talked about less. I like doing road trip style and just find places to stay or camp along the way, I think Chile would lend itself well to this.

but not fully committed to either location in all honesty.

Sounds cold. Check out the Nicaragua threads. March is overall the best month of the year in these parts but there’s that whole torture and beheading thing.

Wasn’t really thinking Peru but I’ll look into that. Chiles travel restrictions weren’t great so have actually been leaning toward nica as a friend might be interested

Taking a bit of risk, but a few of my buddies really scored in both Centro and Mex on early souths.

Punta Hermosa which is K43 so. Ruta Panamericana...is also a good choice.
Something like 15 spots in around 5mi...La Isla, Punta Rocas, Caballeros (my fav),
and Pico Alto and the ever popular Senoritas...and more like El Huaico...:waving:

Peru has crappy covid rules too right now. Plus for either you burn close to a day flying each way, so I would only go if its for closer to 2 weeks.

Either way there will be waves in both Chile and Peru that you can get to without much driving/effort. Pichilemu area is a no brainer.

For Argentina it shouldn't even be a surf trip.

Yeah Argentina has the added plus of non surfy stuff which is always a big plus for me.

I honestly hadn’t looked into Peru’s covid stuff yet. Chiles was just tricky due to some kind of pass you need to get that takes at least four weeks to get.
