You have no idea how many fucked up parents are out there. When you are a teacher you get to have parent-teacher conferences with them. When you have a student that is a wreck, chances are the apple didn't fall far from the tree.
So true. We opened our home during school closures to some kids who had no wifi at home. A couple of them had no real home at all.

nothing to see here just one of the worlds premier epidemiologists being censored because he advocated for an intelligent response to COVID that didn't align with Fauci's corrupt agenda...
These same people who were saying, "Twitter is a private company and can do what they want" are now on Twitter saying the government needs to control "misinformation/'ism, etc." This is all about power. There is no ethics behind it, nor can you persuade people with power to give it up.

No, brother PRCD. You just need to learn how to speak their love language and then you'll discover that they are very reasonable and eager to cooperate.

Twitter is a private company and they can do whatever they want. That's always been the case and is still the case. Elon's doing what he wants with the company he owns and that's fine.

I also didn't see anything about the government involvement in Bari's story. Why is it news that twitter filters things? They can "censor" whoever they want.

If anything, these news dumps from twitter prove that twitter did what it did on its own, and without government involvement. Well, except when President Trump himself asked them to remove tweets. That should make everyone feel better about this.

Because the narrative has always been that Twitter doesn't have their finger on the scale.

Of course they are allowed to do what they want, very few are arguing otherwise.

who cares?

Has anyone ever thought that Twitter has NO censorship practices? I can't imagine that's the case.

I thought the reason this was a story was because of some conspiracy between the FBI and Twitter or Biden and Twitter. If Elon's own reporters are saying that's not true, it seems like the world's biggest nothingburger.

so mainstream and social media were actively suppressing the opinions of some the best epidemiologists in the world because those opinion's might have upset the COVID narrative being used to transfer VAST sums of money into the pockets of the uber rich and power into the hands of corrupt politicians

but according to various posters around here as long as such shenanigans were legal and similar sorts of things have been going on for a while then "hey, no big deal"

How does one keep kids in schools if the teachers and administrators are too ill to show up for work?

Sure it didn’t affect the young like older people, but I don’t know that keeping schools open would have worked early on in the pandemic in hard hit areas.
